SENSA research project launched
On May 1, 2026, Batchpur and the IFAK will launch a joint two-year cooperative project to develop sensor-based solutions and AI-supported process monitoring for small-scale wastewater treatment plants. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
At the core of SENSA is a modular, manufacturer-independent sensor platform combined with intelligent data analysis and adaptive control. The aim is to reduce energy consumption and maintenance efforts in small-scale wastewater treatment plants while significantly increasing the efficiency and sustainability of decentralized water treatment systems. The open system architecture enables flexible integration of various sensors and provides the foundation for demand-oriented maintenance of these systems.
We look forward to advancing this innovative project together and setting new standards.
